The CQC is visiting our Trust for a comprehensive planned inspection the week commencing 4th April.
Inspectors are running pre inspection focus groups the week commencing 14th March.
The focus groups are strictly for staff only and should take place away from management. The timetable for the groups are listed on the front-line of UNISONs March newsletter:

Please attend if you can, as this is your opportunity to speak to the inspectors.
UNISON is in regular contact with the CQC and we continue to raise a number of ongoing issues with them, such as late finishes, problems with annual leave, casework delays, lack of traction, culture, retention and the enormous pressures on staff.
Please be aware that the email address set up by the trust ‘CQCdata’ is an internal trust email address and you are not communicating with the CQC directly.
If you wish to contact the CQC, which we would encourage you to do, you need to use the following link:
Or you can email the CQC by using enquiries@cqc.org.uk
The new inspection regime is very robust and is informed by ongoing local feedback and concerns, local and national data, pre-inspection information gathering and onsite inspections.
There are five key lines of enquiry (KLOE): safe, effective, caring, responsive and well led. Each KLOE will be given a rating: Outstanding, good, requires improvement or inadequate. There is also an overall rating applied.
If you want to read more about the KLOEs and understand the process and methodology, please visit the CQC website and read the providers handbooks for Ambulance Services.
This is the most in-depth inspection we have been subject to, so please make sure you share your experiences with the CQC, so the regulator can document areas that need improvement, as well as recognising what we do well.
Kind regards,
Fraer
