This week is Mental Health Awareness week, so please consider signing up to become a Blue Light Champion in our Trust.

Networks of blue light champions in emergency services across the UK are forming self sustaining groups, led by staff, for staff.

In EEAST we now have 45 Blue light Champions signed up with MIND.

If you would like to support your colleagues and receive free training and support, please sign up as a Blue Light Champion.

The MIND blue light programme is in addition to any support that the Trust offers and is about providing training for staff to support their colleagues, as well helping to understand and improve your own mental health. It’s a very positive programme, funded by the Cabinet office, facilitated and developed  by the Charity MIND. The Blue Light Programme has been running for two years and has helped to support many hundreds of staff working in the emergency services across the UK.

Please visit putbacktheheart.com/ourbluelight for full details of training in our region.

Due to the high uptake of the initial workshops, UNISON has agreed to fund Stop Suicide sessions in local areas across the Trust for members. Details to follow soon.
